Roundup Of Palestinian Stories NOT Covered At HuffPost

.

This regularly-updated thread will be a companion to The Positive Stories Re Israel That Are NOT Covered At HuffPost.

The purpose of both threads is to help expose:
  • What HuffPost blogger and noted legal scholar Alan Dershowitz (and others have) described as the site's "hard-left bias" on Israeli affairs

  • Some indications of why so many anti-Israel propagandists and Palestinian/Islamist apologists gravitate to, and comment at HuffPost
The question of why HuffPost is so biased in its "reporting" and the news stories it features, and why it routinely approves comments containing vicious blood libels and propaganda against Israel and Jews*, is a question that only its management can answer. Will any media figure pose this question to them? Who knows --- time will tell.
(*examples here, here, here and elsewhere on HB)

This thread will specifically focus on readily-available news stories that discuss the grim reality of Palestinian conduct, beliefs, etc., which HuffPost refuses/fails to feature, least of all as prominently as it features stories that invariable reflect and foment anti-Israel propaganda.
(4/16/09; JPost) PA finds Hamas explosives lab under mosque, weapons warehouse
Excerpt: A week after Palestinian Authority security forces uncovered an explosives lab under a mosque in Kalkilya, Palestinian police on Thursday discovered a warehouse in the West Bank city which was serving as a Hamas weapons cache.

(4/16/09; YNet) (Islamist) Police Prevent Entrance Of Jews, Muslims Under 50 To Temple Mount
Excerpt: Despite fears of riots, Islamic Movement protest against rightist organizations' calls for Jews to pray at holy site ends without incident; Sheikh Kamal Hatib: We'll never abandon Al-Aqsa Mosque

(4/16/09; JPost) Hamas Accuses Israel Of Using Gaza beggars As Spies
Excerpt: Palestinians who are convicted of "collaboration" with Israel are almost always sentenced to death. While most of the death sentences are not carried out, the accused are often killed by armed Palestinian groups or individuals.

(4/14/09; INN) Murder, Mayhem In Gaza (pattern of honor killings of women)
Excerpt:
Gaza human rights groups expressed concern this week as a woman from An-Nusseirat in Gaza was murdered in an “honor killing.” The woman was the fourth to die in an honor killing in one week, and another murder had been reported the week before. The latest victim was 28-year-old Rihab al-Hazin. Sufian and Maryam Olaywa, 45 and 30 respectively, and their 5-year-old son Jawar were murdered just days earlier.
